FHI 360 serves more than 70 countries and all U.S. states and territories. We are seeking qualified candidates for the Program Manager OVCY (x2) position to be based in Pretoria, Gauteng. Key Responsibility Areas:
  • Provide technical oversight to ensure appropriate support for the implementation of OVC comprehensive package of services for children 0- 17 years old;

  • Work closely with the clinical staff in prioritizing enrolment of C/ALHIV, HEI LTFU, children of HIV+ caregivers who are virally unsuppressed, just returned to care, new on treatment, and adolescent mothers, GBV survivors and children of KP;

  • Provide support to partners to meet their OVC_SERV and OVC_HIVSTAT targets through daily and weekly tracking and performance Analysis;

  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure that HIV+ women on ART are assessed to identify biological children for index testing and pending results, possible enrolment into OVC Comprehensive program;

  • Work closely with the program officers to ensure that the structure evidence-based interventions training of youth facilitators and rollout to beneficiaries is conducted effectively;

  • Work closely with the OVC team to support partners in the enrolment of adolescents 9-14-year-old girls and boys into Primary prevention of sexual violence and HIV;

  • Assist with the training, mentoring and coaching of partners and staff to improve GBV Case Identification and first-line support and reporting of GBV and Child Abuse cases to ensure linkage to health and Legal Services;

  • Assist partners to develop/amend project work plans, budgets in close collaboration with the CDS team;

  • Assist ReACH partners to develop and implement strategies for targeting and enrolling eligible beneficiaries in line with the OVC sub population;

  • Work closely with the Clinical staff to provide TA to partners to improve HIV case finding of children (CLHIV-30%) and tracking the 95-95-95 cascade;

  • Work closely with the Clinical staff to provide TA to partners to promote HIV status knowledge among young children 0-5 yrs. and adolescents through early infant diagnosis (EID) and universal offering of testing;

  • Assist to facilitate the strengthening of bi-directional referral systems and linkages for HIV infected children to access care and treatment clinical services and ensure retention in care;

  • Assist partners to strengthen family-centred remote case management monitoring (HIV-inclusive case

  • management), care plan development, referrals, routine monitoring of child/ family well-being;

  • Assist with the facilitation of Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement (SIMS) activities, Data validation; program review and performance monitoring with MER and technical teams;

  • Participate in developing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and work plans;

  • Participate and represent CDS in stakeholders’ meetings as requested;

  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by CDS management

Requirements
  • Degree in Public Health, psychology/ social work or relevant equalizations

  • Proven ability to provide high quality technical assistance and Capacity Development support to OVC programs

  • 5 to 10 years working experience in community based OVC implementing NGOs, preferably in South Africa

  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships both within and outside the organization

  • Proficient in formulating strategies and concepts, analysing and applying technical expertise.

  • Prior experience working with USG funded programs

  • Strong written and Oral Communication skills.

  • Strong Interpersonal Communication and negotiation skills in achieving results with a wide range of programme NGOs
