Responsibilities

We have an excellent opportunity for a Temporary Employee, Part-Time Marketing & Communications position available in the Office of our Executive Vice President (EVP) in the SouthWest (SW) region of the American Heart Association (AHA) in Irving, TX. In this role, you will perform general duties required to support the marketing-communications efforts of the office of the EVP for the SouthWest region.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Office of EVP with day-to-day administrative support, including data entry and reporting


  • Assist with Anti-Vaping marketing-communications efforts as requested by Vice President of Communications and Executive Communications Director


  • Maintains a high level of customer service by responding to customer inquiries both internally and externally in a timely manner regarding the Office of EVP


  • Performs other duties as requested by Senior Vice President of Development and Vice President of Leadership Engagement


Qualifications

Experience required:

  • Communications skills, verbal and written appropriately to the audience


  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines


  • Ability to examine a situation and make an appropriate recommendation


  • Ability to juggle multiple projects


  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail


  • Prefer candidates who are currently enrolled at an accredited college or University


  • Must possess a 2.5 or higher GPA (on a 4.0 scale) at an accredited college or University


  • Must be experienced with MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint). These skills may be subject to testing.
