Job Description

Background: The Human Resources Department (HRD) is responsible for the Administration and development of the human resources at the IDB Group. It also oversees the implementation of the Human Capital Strategy, building and implementing programs and methodologies in direct support of our results-based Business Model, and focusing on the development of the Bank’s talent and technical skills capacity. The team’s mission: The Leadership and Employee Development Division (HRD/LDV) focuses on formulating and implementing programs to develop the Bank's leadership and employee skills capacity in direct response to the needs of the strategic business areas. Leadership Development (LD) is a practice area of the Leadership and Employee Development Division and supports the overarching challenges of a) reorienting the incentive programs towards collaboration, performance and results; and b) strengthening managerial leadership. What you’ll do:
  • Coordination of virtual programs including audiovisual services with IDB internal providers and external vendors.

  • Coordination of the pre-program communications with LD Program participants, including logistical tasks and assessments.

  • Preparation and update of Leadership Program working files and inventories.

  • Database maintenance of LD Programs including schedules, events calendar and files.

  • Maintenance and monitoring of LDV information in MyLearning Platform, including identification or verification of student data.

  • Support to budget planning and Budget Execution with cost Analysis, cost tracking and invoice tracking.

  • Program Data Entry in the system and tracking of data to generate learning programs information and contribute to upper management reports, in coordination with team leads.

  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets.

  • Prepare and maintain LDV integrated calendars, as requested.

  • Review translations, in English and Spanish, to ensure accuracy and proper IDB terminology.

  • Other technical/logistical/analytical activities requested by team leaders or LDV Division Chief.

What you’ll need:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, organizational development, or other relevant fields.

  • Experience: At least two (2) years of progressively responsible experience relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the position. Knowledge of marketing, budget preparation, outreach, event planning, program development, monitoring and evaluation and program administration is desirable. Ability to work with different data formats and analyze information to provide program reports. Provide logistical and technical advice for program delivery based on experience, diagnose problems and articulate solutions. Highly skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook and Word), ezShare, OneDrive, Teams, Zoom, among others.

  • Languages: Oral and written proficiency in English and Spanish required; knowledge of Portuguese and/or French is a plus.
