Job Description

IDB Invest Treasury Liquidity Analytics (Product External Consultant) Background: In the Investments team of the Treasury Division (TRS) we are currently looking for a talented professional with experience in liquidity management analytics and strong quantitative skills to contribute with our treasury and Cash Management system projects. The team: The Treasury Division (TRS) of the Finance and Administration Department (FNA) of IDB Invest supports FNA in planning, mobilization and administration of the IDB Invest financial resources. In the investment team you will be part of a high-energy and creative team that focus on the liquidity, investment and asset liability management. What you’ll do:
  • Join the Treasury Infrastructure Project (Cash and Treasury Management Systems) and work on the maintenance of current infrastructure and development of new technology platforms for Liquidity, Investment and ALM.

  • Analyze/Interpret/Reconcile data from different sources (systems and business lines) and make recommendations for better technical solutions (reporting, automation, Data Quality, Data Architecture etc )

  • Work with modeling analysts, to provide expertise in targeted data delivery and utilization for model development and implementation to support ALM, Investments and liquidity activities

  • Positional, Cash Flow, and Income Datasets (Excel Based) required for reporting and modeling

  • Data validation and reconciliation templates or routines

  • Liquidity/Investments reports for Management and business lines.

  • Datamart Documentation and Migration of Excel based Datasets to Institutional SQL Datawarehouse.

Payment Timeline: Payment will be made upon delivery of the products and standard Bank invoice, detailing the number of workdays. What you’ll need:
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.

  • Education: Bachelor or equivalent in finance, actuarial science, economics or other relevant fields.

  • Experience: You have at least 4 years of relevant experience in liquidity management preferable in a financial institution or consulting firm, preferably in an area related with liquidity management. You are comfortable with statistical software and programming (including Python, VBA, and MATLAB) and relational databases (SQL server); if you are proficient on Bloomberg with special emphasis in fixed income analytical functions is a plus. You have successful track record of achieving high quality results and delivering valuable services to meet team and departmental objectives.

  • Languages: You are proficient in written and verbal communication in English and in a second official language of the IDB Group (Spanish, Portuguese or French).

Core and Technical Competencies:
  • Strong Relational Database/SQL/Excel background

  • Experience developing/Implementing Bank Liquidity Database/Reporting tools

  • Basic knowledge of finance and accounting, particularly in the bank space

  • Basic knowledge of industry-wide capital and liquidity regulation, i.e. Basel 2 / 3, RWA. Leverage Exposure, LCR and NSFR
