Job Description

We are looking for a Volunteer who will be able to develop layout, maps, infographics, quotables, illustration elements, snapshots, calendar, fact boxes and other graphic designs for 3 Newsletters (to be produced in August and October 2020 and January 2021) and for one Annual Magazine (to be produced in December 2020). Art and Design Web and Graphic Design The three Newsletters and the Annual Magazine will cover European Union Emergency Trust Fund for Africa (EUTF) Cross-Border Programmes’ implementing partners results in relevant areas of activity. The Volunteer will work with the Support for Effective Cooperation and Coordination of Cross-border Initiatives in Southwest Ethiopia-Northwest Kenya, Marsabit-Borana and Dawa, and Kenya-Somalia-Ethiopia (SECCCI) Project that is designed to provide Technical Support to national governments of Ethiopia, Kenya and Somalia at the national level. The SECCCI Project is funded by the European Union with co-financing contributions from UN Development Programme (UNDP) and united nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and is implemented by the UNDP Regional Service Center for Africa (RSCA) in partnership with UNEP and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD). Volunteers: 1 needed 1-5 hours per week / 25 weeks The volunteer need to have skills in Graphic Design or diploma on completion of training course on professional graphic design, skills on Adobe Illustrator and/or Adobe InDesign are compulsory. Previous experience with EU and/ or UNDP will be considered as an asset. Africa English
