Job Description
Job Posting Organization:
Rousto Charity is an organization dedicated to promoting the social, economic, intellectual, and informational development of cities and districts in Tajikistan. The organization focuses particularly on empowering youth and women, aiming to create equal opportunities for all. Rousto Charity recognizes the challenges faced by Tajikistan, a landlocked nation with significant economic difficulties, including high unemployment rates exacerbated by the return of labor migrants from Russia. The organization is committed to addressing these issues through innovative educational initiatives, such as the online German language program for rural youth.

Job Overview:
The position involves volunteering as an online German language teacher, specifically targeting young individuals in rural areas of Tajikistan. The primary goal is to provide foundational German language skills (A1 level) to help these individuals apply for Germany's Ausburg vocational training program. The role is crucial in bridging the educational gap faced by talented youth in rural regions, who often lack access to language classes that are predominantly available in urban centers. The volunteer will play a vital role in empowering these young people, enabling them to secure better opportunities for their futures. This initiative is not only about teaching a language but also about fostering hope and potential in a community that is eager for change.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Teach foundational German language skills (A1 level) to students in rural areas, focusing on speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
  • Develop engaging lesson plans and educational materials tailored to the needs of the students.
  • Conduct classes three times a week, preferably in the evenings, while being flexible to accommodate students' schedules.
  • Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their language skills.
  • Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment that motivates students to participate actively.
  • Collaborate with Rousto Charity to align teaching methods with the organization's educational goals and objectives.
  • Participate in training sessions or workshops organized by Rousto Charity to enhance teaching skills and methodologies.

Required Qualifications:
  • Native German speaker with a strong command of the language.
  • Passion for education and youth empowerment.
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Commitment to the mission of Rousto Charity and the empowerment of rural youth.

Educational Background:
While formal educational qualifications are not strictly required, a background in education, linguistics, or a related field would be advantageous. Additionally, any certifications in teaching German as a foreign language would be beneficial.

Experience:
The position is open to individuals with varying levels of experience. While prior teaching experience is preferred, it is not a strict requirement. The organization values enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and adapt over formal experience.

Languages:
Mandatory: Native German. Good to have: Proficiency in Tajik or Russian would be beneficial for communication with students and understanding their backgrounds.

Additional Notes:
This is a volunteer position with a commitment of three classes per week. The schedule is flexible, and the exact days and times can be negotiated with the selected volunteer. The role is remote, allowing individuals from various locations to participate. Rousto Charity is focused on creating impactful educational opportunities for youth in Tajikistan, and this initiative is part of a broader effort to empower communities and foster development.
