Job Overview:
The position of Field Operation and Procurement Assistant for Agroforestry is integral to the Food, Land, and Water Program at WRI Indonesia. This role is designed to support the implementation of projects in the targeted sites of Aceh, specifically focusing on enhancing the capacity of Social Forestry Business Groups (KUPS) through various means such as institutional strengthening, capacity building, and sustainable ecotourism development. The Assistant will be responsible for coordinating procurement, logistics, and administrative processes to ensure that field activities are executed efficiently and in compliance with organizational standards. This position requires regular travel to remote areas and collaboration with various teams, including field teams, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Administration/Procurement teams. The Assistant will report directly to the Sumatra Research and Program Development Lead, contributing to the overall mission of empowering local communities and promoting sustainable practices in agroforestry.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for this position include: - A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Public Administration, Forestry, Agriculture, or a related field. - A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in project administration, procurement, operations, or logistics. - Experience in supporting procurement processes and documentation, including RFQ, PR, PO, and vendor communications. - Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other digital tools. - Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders. - Legally authorized to work in Indonesia.
Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Public Administration, Forestry, or Agriculture. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has the necessary knowledge and skills to perform the duties associated with procurement, project administration, and operational support effectively.
Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in roles related to project administration, procurement, operations, or logistics. This experience is crucial as it demonstrates the candidate's ability to handle the responsibilities of the position, including managing procurement processes and supporting project implementation in a dynamic field environment.
Languages:
The position requires proficiency in the Indonesian language as it is essential for effective communication with local stakeholders and field teams. The duties and responsibilities of the Field Operation and Procurement Assistant include:
- Procurement Support (60%): - Assist in the procurement process for project-related goods and services, including agroforestry materials, coffee processing equipment, and ecotourism infrastructure. - Prepare and consolidate procurement documentation such as Request for Quotation (RFQ), quotation comparison sheets, purchase requests, and vendor records. - Maintain procurement trackers and provide regular updates on procurement status, ensuring documentation completeness in coordination with field teams. - Coordinate with field teams and vendors to ensure timely submission of procurement documentation.
- Administration and Operation Support (30%): - Prepare operational and administrative documentation for project activities, including attendance lists and travel documentation. - Support coordination of field schedules, travel arrangements, and logistics for project activities. - Assist in monthly operational consolidation for field teams.
- Documentation and Database Support (10%): - Help collect, organize, and maintain project documentation and field evidence, including photos and participant lists. - Support the field team in retrieving supporting evidence for reports and audits.

- The consultant will be compensated on a daily-rate basis, with a maximum of 90 working days for the entire contract period, averaging 20 working days per month. The position is locally engaged, and Indonesian nationals are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates must have existing work authorization in Indonesia, as WRI is unable to sponsor visas for this role. The organization offers travel insurance for domestic and international travel related to project duties and promotes a hybrid working model with flexible hours.
