The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and monitoring the viability of capital investment projects related to the bioeconomy, particularly in the forestry and forest industries. This role requires a strong understanding of technical, environmental, financial, and economic factors that influence project success. The specialist will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and engage with various stakeholders, including project promoters, government officials, and international organizations. The position demands regular travel to project sites, both within the EU and beyond, to ensure comprehensive project oversight and support.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree (minimum equivalent of a bachelor’s) in a relevant engineering discipline, such as agriculture or forestry engineering, or a closely related field. Additionally, a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry, research, or consultancy experience is required, preferably in forest/agriculture and associated process industries. Strong analytical and writing skills are essential, along with the ability to assess complex technical, financial, economic, and operational information. Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office tools is also necessary, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent command of English is mandatory, while a good command of French is preferred but not required for hire.
Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, agriculture, or forestry. A postgraduate degree, such as an MBA or Ph.D., is considered an asset, particularly for candidates with a focus on applied economics or related disciplines. Experience:
