Job Overview:
The Content Creation Consultant for the MSF Access 101 Project will play a crucial role in developing educational materials and learning content aimed at enhancing the understanding of access to health products within the MSF Movement. This position requires collaboration with the project team and subject-matter experts to transform curriculum recommendations into engaging and accessible resources. The consultant will be responsible for creating content for the Access 101 Tembo course, which is part of a broader initiative to improve access to healthcare products. The project aims to identify knowledge gaps and learning needs among MSF staff, ensuring that the educational materials are relevant and effective in addressing these gaps. The consultant will also oversee the quality of content produced by external contributors and ensure that all materials are aligned with adult learning principles and accessibility standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant's primary responsibilities include:
  • Content Planning and Design: Translating the recommended course syllabus into a detailed content plan and table of contents for the Access 101 Tembo course. Advising on the appropriate mix of learning formats, including e-learning content, case studies, infographics, and workshop materials. Developing a content production plan and timeline that incorporates existing content validation processes and user-testing approaches.
  • Content Development and Production: Creating engaging and learner-centered content for the Access 101 Tembo course and supporting educational materials. Coordinating and quality-assuring contributions from external suppliers, such as graphic designers and multimedia developers.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Quality Assurance: Presenting draft content and recommendations to the project team and stakeholders, incorporating feedback from subject-matter experts into successive drafts, and ensuring that all materials are adapted for diverse audiences across the MSF Movement.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a degree in Education, Instructional Design, Communications, Journalism, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field. They should have demonstrated experience in developing engaging learning materials for diverse audiences, such as e-learning courses and educational publications. Strong writing, editing, and content structuring skills are essential, along with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear and accessible learning materials. Experience working with subject-matter experts and coordinating external contributors is also required.

Educational Background:
A degree in Education, Instructional Design, Communications, Journalism, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background will provide the necessary foundation for developing effective learning materials and understanding the complexities of health product access.

Experience:
Candidates should have a proven track record of developing engaging learning materials for diverse audiences, particularly in the context of e-learning and educational resources. Experience in humanitarian, global health, international development, or non-profit environments is considered an asset, as it will enhance the consultant's understanding of the challenges faced by MSF and its mission.

Languages:
Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of additional languages such as French, Spanish, Arabic, or Portuguese is considered an asset, as it will facilitate communication with diverse stakeholders and audiences within the MSF Movement.

This consultancy position is home-based and requires the candidate to have the rights to work as a consultant in their country of residence. The contract duration is approximately 75-85 working days, with a starting date of December 01, 2026, and the project is expected to conclude by May/June 202
