Job Overview:
The Security Assistant position at UNICEF Lebanon is crucial for maintaining the safety and security of staff and operations in a complex security environment. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Security Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: managing staff security data and records, supporting the warden system and security communication, conducting residential and hotel security assessments, providing support for high-level visits and field missions, tracking security clearances and movements, and offering administrative and planning support to the Security Section. The role requires maintaining accurate records, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that all security measures are adhered to effectively to protect UNICEF staff and operations.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree (Bachelor's) in security management, political or social sciences, international relations, public administration, or a related field. A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in administration and data management is required, preferably within the United Nations, international organizations, NGOs, or government security agencies. Experience in security, safety, and emergency management is strongly preferred. Familiarity with data management tools and basic statistics is desirable, along with proven knowledge of the UN Security Management System (UNSMS) and its policies and procedures.
Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as security management, political or social sciences, international relations, or public administration is mandatory. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of security management and the operational environment in which UNICEF operates.
Experience:
The position requires a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience, particularly in administration and data management. Experience with the United Nations or similar organizations is highly valued, as is experience in security and safety management. Languages:
