Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position within the Section Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation at UNICEF Morocco is designed to support the ongoing efforts in performance monitoring, data analysis, and program evaluation. The intern will work under the supervision of the Chief of the Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation Section, contributing to various processes that enhance the effectiveness of UNICEF's programs aimed at improving outcomes for children. This role is crucial in ensuring that UNICEF's interventions are based on solid evidence and that they meet the needs of the communities they serve. The intern will engage in activities that include preparing for evaluations, analyzing data, and assisting in the management of evaluation recommendations, thereby playing a vital role in the organization's mission to advocate for children's rights and improve their lives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for a range of tasks that support the Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation Section, including but not limited to: participating in the preparation and monitoring of ongoing evaluation activities, conducting document reviews, compiling information, and tracking deadlines; contributing to the follow-up on evaluation recommendations and management responses, as well as updating associated monitoring tools; assisting in the collection, compilation, cleaning, and preliminary analysis of program monitoring data; supporting the preparation of field monitoring plans, overseeing monitoring missions, and consolidating collected information; aiding the team in verifying the completeness and quality of reports submitted by implementing partners; contributing to the archiving, classification, and documentation management of monitoring and evaluation products; and providing ad-hoc support to other activities within the Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation Section as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program, or be recent graduates, ideally in public policy evaluation, economics, social sciences, statistics, data sciences, or a related field. Proficiency in French is required, along with a high level of proficiency in English and Arabic. Excellent writing skills, with a strong ability to structure content effectively, are essential. Candidates should demonstrate analytical and synthesis capabilities, as well as strategic formulation skills. Proficiency in computer tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI is also required. A keen interest in topics related to Monitoring and Evaluation, Results-Based Management, and strategic planning is highly desirable.

Educational Background:
The ideal candidate should have a background in fields relevant to public policy evaluation, economics, social sciences, statistics, data sciences, or similar disciplines. Enrollment in a relevant academic program or recent graduation is necessary to qualify for this internship position.

Experience:
While specific prior experience may not be required, candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of the principles of monitoring and evaluation, as well as familiarity with data analysis techniques. Any relevant internships, volunteer work, or academic projects that showcase the candidate's ability to engage with data and contribute to evaluation processes will be considered advantageous.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, with a high level of proficiency in English and Arabic being highly desirable. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken forms in these languages to fulfill the requirements of the internship.

Additional Notes:
The internship is for a duration of 3 months, commencing in October 2026, and will be conducted in-person. There is a possibility of extension based on availability and organizational needs. The intern will receive a stipend of 2000 MAD per month. Candidates are required to use their own computer tools and must provide proof of health insurance covering the internship period.
