Job Overview:
The position of Consultant(e) National(e) Spécialiste en gestion de données pour le PNUD involves providing specialized expertise in data management to support the UNDP's initiatives in Togo. The consultant will be responsible for developing and implementing data management strategies that enhance the quality and accessibility of data for decision-making processes. This role requires a deep understanding of data governance, data analytics, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure that data is effectively utilized to drive development outcomes. The consultant will also be expected to contribute to capacity-building efforts within the UNDP and partner organizations, ensuring that data management practices are sustainable and aligned with international standards.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong background in data management, with proven experience in developing and implementing data strategies. A thorough understanding of data governance, data analytics, and statistical software is essential. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to effectively convey complex data concepts to diverse audiences. Familiarity with the UNDP's mission and operations will be considered an asset.
Educational Background:
A minimum of a Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Management, or a related field is required. Candidates with additional certifications in data management or analytics will be preferred. A strong academic background that demonstrates a solid understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods is essential.
Experience:
Candidates should have at least 5 years of professional experience in data management or a related field, with a proven track record of successfully managing data projects. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in the context of development projects, is highly desirable. Familiarity with the UNDP's operational framework and experience in capacity-building initiatives will be an advantage.
Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication in Togo. Proficiency in English is considered a strong asset, as it will facilitate communication with international stakeholders and partners. Knowledge of local languages may also be beneficial.

- The consultant will be expected to work full-time and may be required to travel within Togo as necessary.
