Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be tasked with attending mission briefings, mobilizing on short notice, and traveling to remote areas as needed. They will capture high-resolution images in both RAW and JPEG formats, ensuring compliance with UNICEF's child safeguarding and consent policies. The consultant must provide edited, captioned, and metadata-complete images, as well as short-form video snippets when required. Responsibilities also include ensuring high-quality output that meets UNICEF's technical requirements and ethical standards, and collaborating with UNICEF staff for briefs, access, and coordination support.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree or equivalent in multimedia, communication, or marketing, along with a minimum of five years of progressive relevant experience in photography and photo editing. Proven experience in photographing children and communities in sensitive contexts in Vietnam is essential. Candidates should demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure. Flexibility for rapid deployment on short notice is also required.

A university degree or equivalent in the field of multimedia, communication, or marketing is required for this position. This educational background is essential to ensure that the consultant has the necessary skills and knowledge to produce high-quality visual content that aligns with UNICEF's standards.
Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of progressive relevant experience in photography and photo editing. Candidates should have a proven track record of photographing children, communities, and sensitive contexts, particularly in Vietnam. This experience is crucial for understanding the ethical considerations and technical requirements of the role.
Languages:
Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is mandatory for this position. The ability to provide captions and credit lines in English is essential, as is the capacity to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Additional Notes:
The consultancy will involve a long-term agreement (LTA) with a fixed fee for two years, with the possibility of extension for one additional year. However, UNICEF does not guarantee a specific quantity of services during the term of the LTA, as this will depend on future needs. The consultant will be contacted based on their ranking and availability for assignments. Payment will be made upon completion of assignments and submission of a final invoice, subject to satisfactory performance. The role may require travel and adherence to UNICEF's policies regarding child safeguarding and ethical conduct.
