Job Overview: The E-T Consultant for Knowledge Management Support will play a crucial role in enhancing the knowledge management, learning, communications, and outreach functions of the Education Skills Global Department and the Social Policy Global Department. This position is designed to strengthen the departments' capabilities in managing digital knowledge platforms, disseminating knowledge products, and coordinating learning initiatives. The consultant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with World Bank Group information management standards while fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among internal and external stakeholders. The role requires a proactive approach to managing content, improving user experience, and supporting departmental priorities through effective communication and operational support.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will lead the ongoing curation and management of the K360 platform, ensuring it remains an intuitive and centralized hub for institutional knowledge. Responsibilities include coordinating the dissemination of knowledge resources across various platforms, evaluating and redesigning intranet digital platforms, and maintaining content taxonomies to enhance usability. The consultant will also support the preparation and dissemination of newsletters, blogs, and other communication products, coordinate onboarding activities, and provide logistical support for learning events and stakeholder engagement activities. Additionally, the consultant will track and analyze user engagement metrics, produce periodic reports, and ensure compliance with records management standards across all platforms.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess strong organizational and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A deep understanding of knowledge management principles and practices is essential, along with experience in digital content management and user experience design. Familiarity with the World Bank Group's information governance standards is highly desirable. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a collaborative mindset and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as information management, communications, social sciences, or a related discipline is required. A master's degree is preferred and may be considered an asset for this position. Candidates should have a strong academic background that supports the responsibilities of the role.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in knowledge management, communications, or a related field. Experience working in international development or with organizations similar to the World Bank Group is highly advantageous. Candidates should have a track record of successfully managing digital platforms and engaging with diverse audiences.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication within the World Bank Group. Proficiency in additional languages, particularly Spanish or French, is considered a valuable asset and may enhance a candidate's application.
