Job Overview:
The Corporate security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security Operations Consultant position is designed for an innovative and analytical individual who is client-focused and collaborative. This role is integral to the management and optimization of the Bank’s Corporate Security Program. The consultant will provide security operations support, manage security technology initiatives, oversee security equipment, and contribute to organizational resilience activities. The position involves conducting research and analysis to provide insights and recommendations that will support strategic decisions, enhance operational efficiency, and promote service excellence. The consultant will work within the Travel, Security, and General Services Group (TSG), which is part of the Budget and Administrative Services Department under the Vice Presidency for Finance and Administration. The Corporate Security team is responsible for managing the Bank’s security program, which includes supporting security operations at Headquarters and across various IDB locations, as well as overseeing the Bank’s Organizational Resilience Program. In addition to security, TSG also provides a range of other services, including travel, food services, custodial services, printing, commuting support, and childcare services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Corporate Security Operations Consultant will be responsible for several key duties and responsibilities, including: supporting the implementation, optimization, and expansion of video analytics and surveillance technologies at Headquarters and Country Offices to enhance security monitoring and incident detection; developing, updating, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for security systems and operational processes; delivering training to Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) operators and Identification Unit personnel to standardize workflows; maintaining a comprehensive inventory of security equipment across Headquarters and Country Offices; assisting in the administration and reconciliation of security-related chargebacks; supporting the development and execution of business continuity plans and emergency response activities; analyzing security service data and operational performance indicators to identify trends and support data-driven decision-making.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in fields such as International Relations, Business Administration, Business Data Analytics, or other relevant areas. Additionally, candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience in the corporate security industry, which includes security technology coordination, vendor management, security systems maintenance and deployment, asset inventory management, operational documentation, and business continuity or emergency response support. Proficiency in English and Spanish, both spoken and written, is required, while additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is considered preferable.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent advanced degree in relevant fields such as International Relations, Business Administration, Business Data Analytics, or other disciplines that align with the responsibilities of the role. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the complexities of corporate security and the operational needs of the organization.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the corporate security industry. This experience should encompass various aspects of security operations, including coordination of security technologies, vendor management, maintenance and deployment of security systems, management of asset inventories, and support for business continuity or emergency response initiatives. The level of experience should demonstrate a solid understanding of security protocols and operational efficiency.

Languages:
Proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory for this position, with both spoken and written skills being essential. Additionally, knowledge of French and Portuguese is considered a valuable asset, enhancing communication capabilities within the diverse environment of the IDB Group.

Additional Notes:
The position is classified as an international consultant role, requiring full-time commitment for a duration of 12 months, with the possibility of extension up to 48 months, subject to eligibility.
