Job Overview: As a General Services Consultant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the employee experience by providing high-quality workplace support. Your responsibilities will include managing various corporate services, contributing to service analysis, and implementing employee-focused initiatives. You will work within the Travel, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security, and General Services Group, which is part of the Budget and Administrative Services Department. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure the efficient delivery of services such as food services, custodial services, and corporate security. You will also be involved in monitoring customer satisfaction and maintaining accurate records related to service programs, thereby contributing to the overall improvement of corporate services.
Duties and Responsibilities: Your duties will encompass a wide range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the smooth operation of corporate services. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of the employee experience by analyzing service feedback and implementing initiatives based on employee needs. Additionally, you will assist in managing key service programs, including MetroCommute and dry cleaning services, and conduct regular inspections to ensure high-quality service delivery. Monitoring customer satisfaction surveys related to food services will be part of your role, as will maintaining updated records in collaboration with Human Resources. You will also be responsible for tracking inventory items, researching vendors for potential procurements, and analyzing service participation and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement. Furthermore, you will provide logistical support for events and conferences organized by the team, ensuring that all aspects of these events run smoothly.
Required Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must possess a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent advanced degree in International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. Additionally, you should have at least 2 years of experience in corporate services, demonstrating your ability to manage and improve service delivery effectively. Your customer service skills should be excellent, and you should be highly organized and proactive in your approach to work. Familiarity with service analysis and feedback management will be beneficial in this role.
Educational Background: The educational requirement for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent advanced degree in fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role, such as International Relations or Business Administration. This educational background will provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate the complexities of corporate services and contribute effectively to the IDB Group's mission.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate services. This experience should demonstrate your ability to manage service delivery, analyze customer feedback, and implement improvements effectively. Languages: Proficiency in both Spanish and English, spoken and written, is mandatory for this position. Additionally, knowledge of French and Portuguese is considered a plus, as it may enhance communication with a broader range of stakeholders within the IDB Group and its member countries.
Additional Notes: This position is classified as an international consultant role, requiring full-time commitment for a duration of 12 months, with the possibility of extension up to 48 months, subject to eligibility.
