Job Overview:
The position of Graphic Designer is crucial for enhancing the knowledge management, communication, and dissemination efforts of the PAGE Global and Brazil initiatives. The individual contractor will be responsible for producing high-quality institutional publications and visual communication materials that adhere to technical quality standards and institutional guidelines. This role involves the development and adaptation of graphic design projects, ensuring visual consistency and accessibility across all materials. The contractor will work closely with UNEP/PAGE focal points to create visually appealing and coherent communication products that effectively convey knowledge and best practices related to green economy and ecological transformation initiatives. The ultimate goal is to strengthen the visibility and effectiveness of PAGE's communication efforts, contributing to the broader mission of promoting sustainable economic practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Graphic Designer include a comprehensive set of tasks aimed at delivering high-quality graphic design and editorial production services. Key activities involve:
  • Development and adaptation of graphic design projects, including reviewing background materials and institutional communication guidelines.
  • Analyzing communication objectives and target audiences to create effective visual solutions.
  • Designing and applying editorial grids, typography, color palettes, and graphic standards in line with PAGE and UNEP identities.
  • Creating visual elements such as illustrations, charts, tables, and infographics.
  • Preparing graphic design concepts for technical review and incorporating feedback from UNEP/PAGE.
  • Editorial production and layout design of communication materials, ensuring readability and visual coherence.
  • Coordinating with UNEP/PAGE throughout the revision process and ensuring quality control of all materials.
  • Finalizing the editorial production of publications and developing PowerPoint presentations aligned with communication standards.
  • Preparing final print-ready and digital files, ensuring compliance with technical standards. 1
  • Supporting the graphic production process and delivering all final materials produced under the contract.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires specific qualifications, including:
  • A training or qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Editorial Design, Communication, Fine Arts, Marketing, or a related field.
  • A professional portfolio showcasing relevant graphic design and editorial production work.
  • A minimum of three years of proven professional experience in graphic design, editorial production, or visual communication.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and laying out institutional publications, reports, and communication materials for international organizations or NGOs.
  • Familiarity with sustainability, green economy, climate, and environmental policy themes is desirable.
  • Previous experience working with UNEP, PAGE, or other international organizations is a plus.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a relevant educational background, typically requiring a degree or equivalent qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the principles of design, visual communication, and editorial production, which are critical for the successful execution of the role.

Experience:
The position demands at least three years of professional experience in graphic design and editorial production. Candidates should have a track record of working on long-form publications and complex technical content, demonstrating their ability to manage intricate design projects effectively. Languages:
