Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:
Educational Background:
Candidates must have an advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant field such as education, social sciences, peace studies, or international development. A strong academic background is essential to ensure a thorough understanding of the complexities involved in peace education and its impact on society.
Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in the fields of education, peacebuilding, or social development. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in post-conflict settings, is highly advantageous. The consultant should have a proven track record of conducting evaluations or strategic reviews, demonstrating the ability to deliver high-quality outputs within tight deadlines.
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as all reports and communications will be conducted in English. Knowledge of local languages, particularly Bosnian, Croatian, or Serbian, is considered an asset and will facilitate better engagement with local stakeholders.
Additional Notes:
This consultancy assignment is expected to take place over a period of approximately two months, from October to November 2026, with an estimated level of effort of 25 consultant days. The consultant will work remotely but may be required to travel within Bosnia and Herzegovina for stakeholder consultations. The position is part-time and will be compensated based on the consultant's experience and the UNDP's established rates for individual contractors.
