Job Overview:
The position involves the recruitment of a national consultant tasked with the design and operationalization of an engagement mechanism for the EdTech ecosystem. This role is crucial as it aims to enhance the collaboration and interaction among stakeholders in the EdTech sector, which is vital for fostering innovation and improving educational outcomes. The consultant will be expected to develop strategies that facilitate engagement, promote best practices, and ensure that the EdTech ecosystem is responsive to the needs of learners and educators. The consultant will work closely with various stakeholders, including educational institutions, technology providers, and government agencies, to create a cohesive framework that supports the growth and sustainability of the EdTech sector in Senegal.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for several key duties, including but not limited to: conducting a comprehensive analysis of the current EdTech landscape in Senegal; identifying key stakeholders and mapping their roles and contributions; designing an engagement framework that outlines how stakeholders can collaborate effectively; facilitating workshops and meetings to gather input and feedback from stakeholders; developing communication strategies to promote the engagement mechanism; providing recommendations for policy and practice improvements based on stakeholder feedback; and preparing detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and proposals to UNDP and other relevant parties. The consultant will also be expected to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the engagement mechanism and make adjustments as necessary to ensure its success.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong background in education, technology, or a related field, with a deep understanding of the EdTech landscape. They should have proven experience in stakeholder engagement, project management, and strategic planning. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups, and excellent communication skills. Familiarity with the Senegalese education system and policies related to technology in education will be considered an asset. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate a track record of successfully implementing similar projects or initiatives.

Educational Background:
A minimum of a Master's degree in Education, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Additional certifications or training in project management, stakeholder engagement, or educational technology will be advantageous. Candidates with a strong academic background and relevant professional qualifications will be preferred.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in the fields of education, technology, or project management. Experience working with international organizations, government agencies, or non-profits in the context of educational development is highly desirable. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and engage effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including government officials, educators, and technology providers.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication in Senegal. Proficiency in English is also highly desirable, as it will facilitate communication with international stakeholders and partners. Knowledge of local languages may be considered an asset, as it can enhance engagement with diverse communities.
