Job Overview:
The SBC Coordinator role is pivotal in providing technical and operational support for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of Social & Behavior Change (SBC) interventions across multiple sectors. This position is crucial for enhancing community engagement, supporting behavior change initiatives, and ensuring accountability mechanisms are in place. The coordinator will work closely with various stakeholders to align SBC strategies with UNICEF's program priorities, particularly in the context of the ongoing Syrian refugee crisis and other humanitarian challenges. The role involves leading the development of evidence-based SBC strategies, implementing SBC activities, and ensuring effective collaboration with partners and community structures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the development and operationalization of SBC strategies and plans across program sectors, including conducting situation analyses and integrating SBC approaches into design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design.
• Lead the implementation of SBC activities in collaboration with partners, focusing on community engagement initiatives and outreach targeting vulnerable populations.
• Coordinate with implementing partners and civil society organizations, providing technical support and participating in field monitoring.
• Collect and analyze community feedback, co-leading social listening efforts to identify barriers and misinformation.
• Monitor SBC interventions, assist in data collection and documentation, and contribute to internal reporting and knowledge management.
• Design and deliver capacity-building activities for partners and frontline workers, providing technical inputs on SBC methodologies and tools.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a University Degree in social and behavioral science, sociology, anthropology, psychology, education, communication, public relations, political science, international relations, or a related social science field. Additionally, a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in Social & Behavior Change, community engagement, or communication for development is required, with demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing behavior change interventions.

Educational Background:
A University Degree in a relevant field such as social and behavioral science, sociology, anthropology, psychology, education, communication, public relations, political science, or international relations is required for this position.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in Social & Behavior Change, community engagement, or related fields. Candidates should have experience working in humanitarian or complex development contexts and engaging diverse stakeholders and communities.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Arabic is mandatory for this role. Knowledge of French or any other UN language is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's profile for this position.
