Job Overview:
The People & Culture Officer is responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant administration of payroll and People & Culture processes across various pay areas. This role involves managing end-to-end payroll operations, including simulations, error resolution, off-cycle runs, retroactive adjustments, and separation payments. The officer will also oversee the Separation from Service, Pension, and Health Insurance Administration, interpreting and approving HR entitlements and benefits. Additionally, the incumbent will provide expert guidance to management and staff on HR policies, supervise team members, deliver training, and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality. The position requires collaboration with the HR Payroll-Offboarding Manager and involves key functions such as Payroll Management, Separation from Service, Pension & After-Service Health Insurance Administration, Team Leadership, Training & Capacity Building, Process Improvement & Projects, and Data Analysis & Reporting.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary foundation for understanding the complexities of payroll and human resources management within an international organization.
Experience:
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in payroll, human resources, benefits, and entitlements. Experience in delivering Payroll & Offboarding solutions with a strong client focus is essential. Desirable experience includes working with the UN or an international organization, particularly in Global Shared/Business Services/Business Support centers, and supervisory experience in leading high-performing teams.
Languages:
Fluency in English and Hungarian is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's profile for this role.

This position is open only to nationals of Hungary, and UNICEF GSSC does not facilitate MFA accreditation for locally recruited staff. - Analyze payroll data and generate reports for management review.
- Drive process improvements to enhance service delivery and efficiency.
- Provide expert advice on HR policies and procedures to staff and management.
- Ensure timely resolution of payroll-related issues and queries.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in payroll, human resources, benefits, and entitlements.
- Demonstrable experience in delivering strong Payroll & Offboarding solutions with a client-focused approach.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with SAP.
- Advanced skills in presentation, PowerPoint, and Excel are required.
