Job Overview:
The RAME Assistant position is crucial for coordinating and executing Research, Assessment, Monitoring, and Evaluation (RAME) activities within the WFP framework. This role involves collecting and analyzing data related to food security indicators, which includes nutrition, food systems, and social protection. The RAME Assistant will work under the direct supervision of the Head of Sub-Office in Bolgatanga and will also receive technical guidance from the Head of Research, Assessment, Monitoring, and Evaluation. The primary expectation from this position is to support the effective delivery of assistance packages by providing accurate and timely reports based on comprehensive data analysis. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying trends and patterns in food insecurity and vulnerability, which will inform WFP's interventions in Ghana. The RAME Assistant will also be responsible for developing data pipelines and workflows to enhance data management processes, ensuring that data integrity and security are maintained throughout.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of a secondary school education, along with a post-secondary certificate in a related functional area. Additionally, candidates should have at least 5 years of progressive work experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting. Experience in utilizing WFP monitoring and evaluation systems is highly desirable. Proficiency in statistical analysis software such as STATA, SPSS, and Excel is essential, along with knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Excel. Familiarity with questionnaire programming using ODK is also required. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate findings effectively to various stakeholders.
Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes completion of secondary school education, complemented by a post-secondary certificate in a relevant field. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the complexities of data management and analysis within the context of food security and humanitarian assistance.
Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of progressive work experience in roles that involve collecting program output and outcome data, conducting both quantitative and qualitative analyses, and reporting findings to management and stakeholders. Experience with WFP monitoring and evaluation systems is preferred, as well as a proven track record in statistical analysis and data visualization.
Languages:
Fluency in both oral and written communication in the UN language in use at the duty station is mandatory. Additionally, proficiency in the local language of the duty station, if different, is highly desirable. This linguistic capability is crucial for effective communication with local stakeholders and partners.

The position is for a duration of 1 year, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and organizational needs. It is classified at the SC 5 post grade level. - Documenting field data collection reports and preparing field mission reports.
