The Driver will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: transporting NRC staff, visitors, documents, and goods to designated locations as per official approvals; ensuring the safety and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security of passengers and cargo at all times; adhering to local traffic laws and NRC vehicle policies; maintaining accurate vehicle logbooks and trip documentation; ensuring the vehicle is kept in good operating condition, including cleanliness and technical checks; reporting any accidents, breakdowns, or maintenance needs immediately; liaising with the line manager regarding vehicle servicing and inspections; ensuring the vehicle carries all required documents and safety equipment; providing logistical support during trainings and field missions; and complying with NRC policies and procedures. Additionally, the Driver will support program teams with loading and unloading humanitarian assistance during field missions and may be required to perform other duties as delegated by the line manager.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Driver position must possess a valid driving license and have proven experience working as a driver, preferably in humanitarian, recovery, or emergency contexts. Experience operating in complex and volatile environments is essential, as is the demonstrated ability to handle responsibility for people and assets. Basic knowledge of English is an advantage, along with basic computer literacy, particularly in MS Word and internet applications. Candidates should also have knowledge of local road conditions and context in northern Ukraine, and any humanitarian-related training or certificates will be considered an advantage. Experience driving outside of Ukraine and the legal right to cross borders is also beneficial.
