Job Overview:
The Administrative Assistant position at WHO involves providing essential administrative support under the supervision of the Operations Officer. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have a strong sense of professionalism and integrity. Familiarity with UN systems and procedures is an advantage, as is experience in an international or multicultural environment.
Educational Background:
A minimum of a high school diploma is required, with a preference for candidates holding a degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field. Additional certifications in office management or administrative support are beneficial.
Experience:
Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience in administrative support or office management. Experience working in a UN agency or similar international organization is highly desirable. The ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing priorities is crucial.
Languages:
Fluency in English and French is mandatory, as these are the working languages of the WHO in Morocco. Knowledge of Arabic is an asset and may enhance communication with local stakeholders.
Additional Notes:
This position is a UN Volunteer role, which is typically a full-time commitment. The contract duration is not specified, but it is expected to be for a limited term. The compensation includes a monthly living allowance, relocation costs, and comprehensive health insurance coverage. Volunteers are entitled to annual leave and access to learning and career development resources. - Maintain electronic files and reference materials for easy access.
- Track incoming queries and correspondence, ensuring timely follow-up.
- Provide administrative support for meetings, including documentation preparation.
- Brief colleagues on office administrative processes and assist in training new staff.
- Participate in field visits as required and perform other related duties as assigned.
