Job Overview:
The Temporary Learning Program Support position at the World Bank Group involves assisting in the planning and delivery of learning activities at the Tokyo Development Learning Center (TDLC). This role is crucial for ensuring that learning platforms and tools are effectively utilized and maintained. The individual will be responsible for capturing knowledge outputs from various TDLC activities, supporting the monitoring and evaluation of these activities, and managing data related to learning programs. The position requires a proactive approach to enhance the learning experience and ensure that the TDLC meets its objectives in urban development and resilience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the planning and delivery of TDLC learning activities, including Technical Deep Dives (TDDs) and Practitioner Programs, by coordinating learning platforms, agendas, speaker information, and learning materials.
• Ensure that learning platforms and tools are complete, up-to-date, and consistent across activities.
• Capture learning outputs from TDLC activities, including presentations and session materials, and maintain organized content across TDLC platforms.
• Administer participant surveys and feedback tools to monitor and evaluate learning activities, compiling and analyzing feedback to support improvements.
• Maintain and update TDLC program data related to learning activities, ensuring alignment with corporate classifications.
• Draft structured inputs for internal and external reports, consolidating key results data for annual and donor reporting.
• Coordinate TDLC’s contributions to broader institutional learning initiatives, tracking deliverables and timelines.
• Carry out additional tasks as requested by the TDLC Program Manager or Task Team Leaders.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Proficiency in data management and reporting is essential, along with experience in coordinating learning activities or programs. Familiarity with urban development issues and the workings of international organizations is advantageous. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to interact with various stakeholders and present findings clearly.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as international development, urban planning, education, or a related discipline is required. A master's degree would be an advantage, particularly for candidates with a focus on urban studies or public policy.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in program support, learning and development, or project management. Experience working in an international organization or in a multicultural environment is preferred, as is familiarity with urban development and resilience initiatives.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is the working language of the World Bank Group. Proficiency in Japanese or other languages relevant to the region would be considered a plus, enhancing communication with local stakeholders and partners.

Additional Notes:
This position is financed by a Trust Fund, and its renewal is contingent upon the availability of funding, business needs, staff performance, and skills fit. The role may involve working full-time and requires flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the TDLC and the World Bank Group.
