The role of the Asistente técnico de logística is crucial for the daily implementation of logistics management activities related to the specific needs of various projects, encompassing both goods and services. The Asistente técnico de logística will be responsible for supporting the logistical function's portfolio in accordance with the Action Plan, providing logistical administration and basic support across all organizational areas, preparing status reports as required by management, and ensuring the accurate presentation of all supporting documents to the financial unit. Additionally, the role involves participating in the planning and delivery of logistical activities, maintaining documentary records of logistics management, and promoting ideas for improving logistics functions. The position also requires the execution of specific responsibilities related to procurement, warehouse management, asset management, and fleet management, ensuring that all activities are conducted in compliance with NRC's policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Asistente técnico de logística will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to: implementing NRC's policies, SOPs, manuals, guidelines, and donor requirements in daily logistics activities; supporting the development of market analyses to determine the best intervention methods; participating in project procurement planning; executing procurement processes in accordance with organizational guidelines; implementing alternative procurement processes such as cash transfers and advance purchases; utilizing and recording procurement data in institutional tools; participating in supplier evaluations; ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs); managing the storage and rotation of inventory; maintaining accurate records of NRC's assets; supervising the packaging, loading, and unloading of materials; ensuring compliance with safety regulations in warehouse operations; reporting any losses or discrepancies; managing the timely and efficient shipping and receiving of goods; organizing local labor for efficient goods handling; assisting in preparing documentation for contract payments; ensuring vehicles are used and maintained according to NRC's logistics manual; planning and monitoring transportation requests; managing vehicle maintenance requests; coordinating timely notifications of accidents or breakdowns; ensuring proper filing of vehicle records; and supporting the implementation of relevant activities in the country office's Action Plan.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Asistente técnico de logística position must possess a range of qualifications, including a technical or technological degree or be in the final semesters of studies in Business Administration, Logistics Management, International Business, or similar fields. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate professional competencies such as effective communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
