Job Overview:
The GESP Evidence and Learning Consultant will play a crucial role in leading the analysis, synthesis, and dissemination of evidence and learning outputs from the Girls’ Education and Skills Partnership (GESP) Programme. This position involves finalizing the cross-country GESP Tracer Study Report based on data from Bangladesh and Nigeria, developing learning briefs, and organizing dissemination events such as webinars focused on gender-responsive skills and livelihoods. The consultant will work closely with various stakeholders, including the Programme Specialist, Senior Advisor for Global Programmes, and GESP implementing partners, to translate program evidence into actionable findings and recommendations for program improvement and strategic decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the analysis and synthesis of data from the GESP Programme, ensuring that findings are accurately represented and actionable.
• Finalize the cross-country GESP Tracer Study Report, incorporating insights from country tracer data.
• Develop a series of learning briefs that summarize key findings and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Organize and facilitate dissemination events, including webinars, to share insights on gender-responsive skills and livelihoods.
• Collaborate with the Programme Specialist and other team members to ensure alignment with GESP objectives and strategies.
• Engage with country offices and implementing partners to gather data and insights for analysis.
• Provide technical support in the development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks for GESP initiatives.
• Ensure that all outputs are delivered on time and meet the quality standards set by UNICEF.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of GESP by providing feedback and recommendations based on evidence and learning.

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in social science, education, international relations, political science, communications, international development, business administration, or other relevant disciplines is required.
• An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) is considered an asset.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in data analysis and technical report development.
• Experience in youth livelihoods, youth employment, or skills-to-work transitions is desirable.
• Strong data analysis and IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite, are highly desired.
• Prior experience in the field of youth livelihoods, gender, or Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) is a strong asset.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as social science, education, international relations, political science, communications, international development, or business administration. An advanced degree (Master’s or higher) is preferred and considered an asset for this position.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the analysis of data and the development of technical reports, as well as learning briefs from program implementation. Experience in youth livelihoods, youth employment, or skills-to-work transitions is highly desirable, indicating a strong background in related fields.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language is considered an asset, enhancing communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
