Job Overview:
The Senior Officer for Health Partnerships will play a crucial role in developing and deepening partnerships with corporate entities to support the IRC's mission in the health sector. This position is part of the Global Corporate Partnerships (GCP) team, which is responsible for engaging with corporations and corporate foundations across key sectors such as financial services, healthcare, consumer goods, and technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Global Health sector, with a focus on building and managing a portfolio of corporate partners primarily in Global Health, while also engaging with financial services accounts. The role requires the candidate to cultivate, steward, and solicit corporate donors, creating tailored fundraising strategies that emphasize incremental revenue generation and humanitarian impact. The Senior Officer will also be expected to demonstrate a passion for the IRC's mission and a nuanced understanding of private sector fundraising.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Officer will be responsible for managing a portfolio of partners valued at over $3 million USD, focusing on diversified funding streams and expanding influence within the Global Health sector. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a robust strategy for the Global Health sector, identifying potential corporate partners and initiating partnerships through various models such as strategic alliances and employee engagement.
• Supporting the Associate Director of Health Partnerships in building and managing a new business pipeline, researching prospective partners to drive revenue growth.
• Designing and executing creative stewardship and engagement strategies for partners, including account plans and proposal submissions.
• Collaborating with External Relations teams to leverage health-related events and campaigns to enhance fundraising efforts.
• Establishing a client servicing plan for each partner, including performance indicators and reporting procedures to optimize service quality and donor satisfaction.
• Facilitating communication between prospects, donors, and program staff, and undertaking special assignments as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 6 years in partnership development or corporate fundraising in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the Global Health sector is essential, along with a demonstrated ability to manage partnerships valued at or above $500,000 USD annually. Strong project management skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, and the capacity to adapt to shifting priorities are critical for success in this role. Candidates should also have a proven track record of engaging with health companies and their communities to support humanitarian efforts.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s Degree is required, with a preference for candidates who have pursued studies related to health, business, or a relevant field. Equivalent experience in partnership development or corporate fundraising may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in partnership development and corporate fundraising, particularly within the Global Health sector. Candidates should have experience working in dynamic environments and a proven ability to identify and explore innovative ways to engage with corporate partners.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in additional languages relevant to the IRC's operations may be considered an asset.

This position may be hybrid, allowing for remote work full- or part-time. Candidates must have a suitable workspace to perform their duties effectively. The role is open to candidates located in the United States, United Kingdom, and Kenya, who have the right to work in their respective locations. Compensation varies based on location, with a US pay rate of $95,000-$103,000 per year and a UK pay rate of £52,210-£61,999 per year.
