Job Overview:
The position of Asesoría y acompañamiento técnico cuadernillos involves providing technical advice and support for the development of educational materials as part of the UNDP's project aimed at promoting profound transformations in Guatemala. The consultant will be responsible for ensuring that the materials align with the project objectives and meet the needs of the target audience. This role requires a deep understanding of educational methodologies and the ability to translate complex concepts into accessible content. The consultant will work closely with project teams and stakeholders to gather insights and feedback, ensuring that the materials are relevant and effective. The position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project teams to define the scope and objectives of the educational materials.
  • Conduct research to gather relevant information and best practices in educational content development.
  • Design and develop high-quality educational materials, including manuals, guides, and other resources.
  • Review and revise materials based on feedback from stakeholders and project teams.
  • Ensure that all materials are culturally appropriate and accessible to the target audience.
  • Provide training and support to facilitators and educators on the use of the developed materials.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the materials in achieving project goals.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to the development process and outcomes.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to strategic planning discussions.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in educational content development, particularly in the context of technical assistance and capacity building.
  • Strong understanding of pedagogical principles and instructional design.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in both Spanish and English.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with UNDP's mission and development goals is an asset.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in education, social sciences, or a related field is required. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred. Additional certifications in instructional design or educational technology will be considered an advantage.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in educational content development, instructional design, or a related field is required. Experience working with international organizations or NGOs is highly desirable. Proven track record of successfully managing similar projects from conception to completion is essential.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, and proficiency in English is highly desirable. Knowledge of other languages spoken in Guatemala would be an asset.

This position is offered as an individual contractor role, with a contract duration aligned with the project timeline. The consultant will work on a full-time basis, with flexibility in working hours to accommodate project needs. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
