Job Overview:
The Asistente de comunicaciones para la conservación will play a crucial role in supporting WWF Chile's communication strategies aimed at enhancing conservation impacts. This position involves working closely under the supervision of the Communications Manager for Conservation, assisting in the development and execution of communication plans that address the needs of the Conservation Management Area. The assistant will be responsible for creating content and materials that effectively communicate the organization's conservation projects and strategies to various audiences. This role requires a proactive approach to communication, ensuring that all materials align with WWF's branding guidelines while also fostering collaboration among different teams within the organization. The assistant will also participate in field activities and regular meetings to stay updated on project developments and challenges, contributing to a dynamic and multidisciplinary work environment.

Educational Background:
A professional degree in communications or a related field is required. Candidates with backgrounds in journalism, public relations, advertising, or design are preferred, as these areas provide the necessary skills for effective communication in conservation contexts.
Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in communication roles, particularly those that involve environmental or conservation-related work. This experience should demonstrate the ability to develop and implement communication strategies effectively.
Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, both written and spoken. Proficiency in English is considered a valuable asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with a broader audience and access international resources.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to communication needs and requests from the Conservation Management Area to enhance conservation impacts.
- Collaborate in the development of communication strategies for the Conservation Management Area.
- Create content and products for disseminating strategies and projects related to conservation management.
- Ensure the correct use of the WWF brand and guidelines in the creation of new content, materials, and products for conservation strategies and projects.
- Participate in meetings, field outings, and regular activities with the Conservation Management Area teams.
- Assist in the development and creation of web and digital content related to conservation management.
- Actively participate in weekly meetings with the area manager to review communication strategy progress and challenges.
- Demonstrate initiative and proactivity in the assigned tasks, acting as a liaison between the Policy, Communications, and Brand areas and Conservation Management.
- Support conservation lines and local development based on sustainable resource use, demonstrating flexibility and sound judgment. 1
- Build excellent interpersonal relationships and work effectively in a multidisciplinary and dynamic environment. 1
- Collaborate in common office activities, including monthly and annual meetings. 1
- Perform any other tasks related to the role as assigned by the supervisor when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Professional degree, preferably in communications, such as journalism, public relations, advertising, or design.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar roles related to communication and conservation.
- Effective communication skills, with fluency in Spanish (both written and spoken); proficiency in written and spoken English is desirable.
- Knowledge of communication strategies for campaigns, projects, and initiatives.
- Familiarity with disseminating scientific and environmental topics.
- Proficiency in audiovisual tools, marketing" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">digital marketing, and graphic design.
