Job Overview:
The Learning & Knowledge Associate position is pivotal in enhancing the institutional capacity of the IDB Group and its stakeholders, including policymakers and project implementers. The role involves designing, implementing, and evaluating innovative learning solutions that address the development challenges faced by Latin America and the Caribbean. The associate will work within the Knowledge and Learning Division, which is responsible for delivering tailored learning solutions that strengthen the capacities of development actors. These solutions are integral to informing public policy decisions and enhancing the design and implementation of development programs. The associate will also contribute to the IDBAcademy, which offers practical learning solutions based on the IDB Group's extensive knowledge and experience, ultimately improving the quality and impact of development initiatives in the region.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Learning & Knowledge Associate will be responsible for building and maintaining strategic partnerships with various stakeholders, including IDB sectors, country office teams, multilateral development banks, academia, and NGOs. The role requires serving as a strategic partner to operational and corporate teams, aligning learning solutions with the IDB Group’s Institutional Strategy. The associate will guide and oversee innovative learning programs, ensuring effective delivery and stakeholder coordination. Key responsibilities include conducting learning needs assessments, guiding the pedagogical design of learning experiences, and leveraging emerging technologies to enhance learning solutions. The associate will also be tasked with evaluating and continuously improving learning solutions based on assessed outcomes and organizational impact.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills, along with a solid understanding of results-based management and development effectiveness. The ability to design and implement learning solutions that align with organizational objectives is crucial. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate strong analytical, synthesis, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication abilities with attention to detail.

Educational Background:
A Master’s degree in learning sciences, social sciences, psychology, public policy, international development, business administration, engineering, adult education, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of learning and capacity building in diverse environments.

Experience:
The position requires at least 2 years of proven experience in designing and implementing capacity-building initiatives, with a preference for candidates who have 5 years of experience. Experience in international development is highly valued, along with a strong understanding of the development challenges specific to Latin America and the Caribbean.

Languages:
Proficiency in both Spanish and English, spoken and written, is mandatory for this role. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is considered a plus, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with a broader range of stakeholders and resources.

Additional Notes:
The position offers an international staff contract for an initial duration of 36 months, with the possibility of renewal upon mutual agreement.
