Job Overview:
The Field Officer position in Kota Serang is integral to the implementation of the Global Health security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security (GHS) project, which aims to enhance Indonesia's capacity to manage zoonotic and emerging infectious diseases. The Field Officer will work closely with the Banten Provincial Coordinator to ensure effective planning, coordination, and monitoring of project activities. This role requires a high level of integrity, accountability, and the ability to engage with various stakeholders, including health authorities and community partners. The Field Officer will be responsible for facilitating communication and collaboration among multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives, ensuring that health security measures are effectively integrated into local health systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Field Officer will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including:

• Activity Planning & Implementation (40%): Supporting the planning processes for project activities, coordinating with technical sectors to ensure integrated implementation, engaging with health authorities and partners for day-to-day operations, and documenting project progress and challenges.
• Coordination and Partnership (40%): Collaborating with local health authorities and the national team to align One Health activities, representing the project in local meetings, and facilitating rapid response efforts during zoonotic disease outbreaks.
• Monitoring and Evaluation (20%): Collecting and verifying project data, conducting monitoring visits to assess implementation quality, and contributing to donor reporting and technical documentation.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant fields such as Public Health, Global Health, or Epidemiology. A minimum of five years of professional experience in public health programs is required, with a strong preference for experience in global health security and outbreak response. Familiarity with Indonesia's health system and experience working with local government institutions are strongly desired. Candidates should also demonstrate knowledge of One Health principles and public health surveillance systems, as well as experience in multisectoral coordination.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree or higher in Public Health, Global Health, International Relations, Anthropology, Epidemiology, Medical Sciences, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively contribute to the project's goals and objectives.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of professional experience in implementing public health programs, particularly in areas related to global health security, outbreak preparedness, and infectious disease surveillance. Candidates should have demonstrated experience working within Indonesia's health system and familiarity with local health offices and government institutions. Experience in coordinating multisectoral activities to improve public health outcomes is also essential.

Languages:
Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia is mandatory, with excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Proficiency in English is preferred but not mandatory. Understanding local languages and customs within the target province is also essential for effective stakeholder engagement and communication.

Additional Notes:
The position is based in Kota Serang, with frequent travel required within Banten Province (approximately 50% of the time) and occasional travel to Jakarta and other provinces (approximately 10% of the time). The expected hiring salary range for this role is IDR 115,000,000 - 160,000,000 annually.
