Job Overview:
The position of Operations Specialist at INTERPOL's Command and Coordination Centre (CCC) in Singapore is crucial for assisting transnational police operations and disaster response initiatives. The Operations Specialist will work under minimal supervision, providing support to police forces and governmental agencies in their efforts to combat international crime. This role involves assessing incoming information, determining the urgency of situations, and coordinating responses to operational matters. The Operations Specialist will also facilitate communication between National Central Bureaus (NCBs) and INTERPOL's General Secretariat, ensuring that information is accurately processed and disseminated. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment, as the CCC operates 24/7 to respond to urgent requests from member countries.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Operations Specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: receiving and assessing incoming information related to international crime; determining the urgency of operational matters and implementing appropriate actions; providing logistical support to member countries; facilitating communication between NCBs and INTERPOL staff; assisting in the identification and detention of individuals involved in transnational crime; gathering and processing data relevant to criminal investigations; preparing detailed reports on activities; assessing training needs and planning relevant training sessions; identifying best practices for information exchange; ensuring quality control for notices and alerts; and performing any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess at least two years of university education in a relevant field. Additionally, a minimum of three years of experience in a related area is required. If the candidate does not meet the educational requirement, five years of relevant experience is necessary. The ideal candidate will have experience working with law enforcement entities or in crisis management roles, as well as familiarity with international organizations and field missions.

Educational Background:
A minimum of two years of university education in a field relevant to the duties of the Operations Specialist is required. This educational background should provide a solid foundation in areas such as criminal justice, international relations, or public administration, which are pertinent to the role.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least three years of professional experience in a relevant area. This experience should ideally include work with law enforcement agencies, crisis management, or international cooperation. If the candidate lacks the required educational qualifications, they must have a minimum of five years of relevant experience to be considered for the position.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, along with proficiency in a second official language of INTERPOL. Knowledge of a third official language (Arabic, French, or Spanish) is considered an asset. Additionally, proficiency in widely spoken non-official languages such as Russian or Mandarin would be advantageous for the role.

Additional Notes:
The position is a secondment with a duration of 36 months.
