Job Overview:
The Blockchain and Digital Innovation Analyst position is designed to support UNDP's initiatives in digital innovation, particularly in the areas of blockchain technology and digital payments. The role involves contributing to the coordination of programs such as the Future of Work Academy, SDG Blockchain Accelerator, and Digital Payments initiatives. The Analyst will work closely with various stakeholders, including technology partners and participating organizations, to ensure the successful delivery of program activities. This position requires a proactive approach to monitoring progress, documenting lessons learned, and developing knowledge products that promote the responsible adoption of emerging technologies for sustainable development. The Analyst will also engage in research and knowledge development to support the organization's goals in digital transformation and innovation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the Implementation of the Future of Work Academy: This includes identifying and onboarding at least 20 participating Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), assisting them in applying decentralized AI and digital infrastructure solutions, and documenting best practices and lessons learned from pilot initiatives.
  • Support the Implementation of the SDG Blockchain Accelerator: Responsibilities include planning and coordinating program activities, managing participant records, supporting country offices in understanding blockchain applications, and engaging ecosystem partners.
  • Support the Implementation and Communication of Digital Payments Initiatives: This involves coordinating day-to-day activities, preparing technical notes and communication materials, and maintaining operational documentation related to digital payments initiatives. The Analyst will also contribute to the preparation of presentations and success stories for internal and external audiences.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in Public Policy, Digital Technologies, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree) combined with an additional 2 years of qualifying experience will be considered. Relevant professional experience in digital innovation, emerging technologies, digital transformation, or business analysis is required, with a minimum of 2 years of experience for those with a Bachelor's degree. Experience in stakeholder engagement, organizing events, and using data analysis tools is considered an asset.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in relevant fields such as Public Policy, Digital Technologies, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related area is required. A Bachelor's degree in these areas, combined with additional qualifying experience, will also be considered. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of digital innovation and emerging technologies.

Experience:
The position requires up to 2 years of relevant professional experience for candidates with a Master's degree, or a minimum of 2 years for those with a Bachelor's degree. Experience in digital transformation, technology-related projects, and stakeholder engagement is essential. Familiarity with organizing webinars, events, and conducting research on digital technologies and AI is highly desirable. Experience with digital payment solutions is also an asset.

Languages:
Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an advantage, particularly in the context of engaging with diverse stakeholders across different regions.
