Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns at CERN will engage in various tasks depending on their field of study. Required Qualifications:
To qualify for the internship, candidates must be nationals of CERN Member or Associate Member States and be full-time students pursuing a Technical/Administrative diploma, Bachelor, or Master degree. Candidates studying for a PhD are not eligible. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a primary field of study in areas such as applied physics, computing, mathematics, engineering, or administrative fields like translation, accounting, or human resources. Good working proficiency in English and/or French is also required.

Educational Background:
Candidates must be enrolled in a full-time educational program in a relevant field of study. This includes technical disciplines such as physics, engineering, and computing, as well as administrative fields. The internship is designed for students who are looking to gain practical experience while completing their studies, and they must maintain their student status throughout the duration of the internship.

Experience:
While prior work experience is not mandatory, candidates should demonstrate a strong academic background in their chosen field. The internship is aimed at undergraduate students, so relevant coursework or projects may be considered as part of the application process. Interns will be expected to learn quickly and adapt to the fast-paced environment of CERN.

Languages:
Proficiency in English and/or French is mandatory for this position. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively in one or both of these languages, as they will be working in an international environment where these languages are commonly used. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not required.

Additional Notes:
The internship duration ranges from a minimum of 1 month to a maximum of 6 months. Interns will receive a monthly allowance of 1,593 Swiss Francs, which will be adjusted if the intern works less than a full month. It is important for candidates to ensure they have full insurance coverage valid in the Geneva area for medical expenses and accidents. CERN will not sign external documents for traineeship agreements, and candidates must use the CERN traineeship agreement provided.
