Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:

This includes developing guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and tools to support the rollout of protection activities. The Specialist will oversee GBV case management, ensuring adherence to guiding principles such as informed consent and confidentiality. They will establish structured supervision and case review mechanisms, coach staff, and support quality improvement plans. Additionally, the Specialist will be responsible for service mapping, referral pathway updates, and advising sector teams on GBV risk mitigation. They will also lead the ethical use of GBVIMS and support GBV mainstreaming across the organization. Capacity strengthening and partnerships are key responsibilities, including assessing staff and partner capacities and delivering training. The Specialist will coordinate with various teams to ensure integrated approaches and participate in technical working groups. Monitoring and reporting on protection projects, developing monitoring tools, and ensuring alignment with international standards are also critical aspects of the role. Finally, the Specialist will provide technical supervision to GBV staff, contribute to recruitment and performance management, and conduct training on protection-related issues.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of a university or graduate degree in social studies, international development, gender, or a related field. They should have at least five years of progressively responsible protection experience, with a minimum of three years focused specifically on GBV programming in humanitarian or refugee settings.
