Job Overview:
The position involves strengthening technical and operational capacities for optimizing and operating a gravimetric concentration circuit in a mining operation. The contractor will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the mining processes. This role requires a deep understanding of mining operations, particularly in the context of gravimetric concentration techniques. The contractor will work closely with local teams to implement best practices and ensure that operations meet international standards. The assignment is expected to last for 210 effective working days within a calendar period of 290 days, indicating a structured timeline for project completion. The contractor will also be expected to engage in continuous communication with UNDP and provide updates on progress and challenges encountered during the assignment.

Required Qualifications:
Educational Background:
A degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in mining operations or related disciplines will be considered an asset. Continuous professional development in mining technologies and practices is highly desirable.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in mining operations, with a focus on gravimetric concentration processes. Experience working in international development projects or with UN agencies is an advantage. Proven track record of successfully implementing operational improvements in mining settings is essential.
Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as the position requires communication with local teams and stakeholders. Proficiency in English is desirable, as it may be necessary for reporting and communication with UNDP and international partners.
Additional Notes:
The contract duration is for 210 effective working days within a total of 290 calendar days. This position is classified as an individual contractor role, and candidates may be recruited nationally or internationally.
