Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the radio communication station in accordance with the United NationsSecurity Management System procedures during both normal and emergency situations.
Conduct daily radio checks and provide morning reports to the Security Officer.
Maintain constant radio contact with all staff members and moving vehicles in the operational area, as well as with other radio rooms when necessary.
Ensure that all radio users comply with the established Radio Code and standard operating procedures.
Compile weekly and monthly statistics on radio checks.
Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of radio communication equipment, including transceivers and electronic equipment in the radio room.
Keep a log of all personnel and vehicle movements reported to the Radio Room.
Regularly track all moving vehicles and field missions.
Train staff members on the use of VHF and HF radio equipment. 1
Record all emergency calls and immediately inform the Security Officer. 1
Update contact information for personnel and Radio Codes regularly.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a secondary school diploma as a minimum requirement, along with a technical diploma or university degree in a relevant field, preferably in engineering.
