Job Overview:
The position involves being part of a pre-selected roster of consultants specializing in education and related fields. The consultants will provide technical assistance in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of educational actions in Nicaragua. This roster is crucial for responding swiftly to the educational needs in both development and humanitarian contexts. Candidates will be evaluated based on their experience, competencies, and qualifications to ensure they meet the established requirements for inclusion in this roster, which is valid for 36 months. Inclusion does not guarantee immediate employment, as hiring will depend on specific needs and available funding.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Consultants will be responsible for various tasks, including but not limited to: designing educational programs, conducting monitoring and evaluation of educational initiatives, developing educational materials, utilizing digital platforms for educational purposes, analyzing data related to educational outcomes, and preparing technical reports. They will also engage in potential interviews, reference checks, and review of previous work products as part of the selection process. The consultants may work remotely or on-site in Nicaragua, depending on the specific assignment, and may be required to travel within the country as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in fields such as Education, Pedagogy, Psychology, Social Sciences, Educational Technology, Special Education, Child Development, Sociology, Environmental Studies, Risk Management, or related areas. A postgraduate degree in relevant themes is desirable. Additionally, a minimum of five years of relevant experience in one or more thematic areas of the roster is required, including experience in educational programs, teacher training, curriculum design, research, and technical assistance within the Nicaraguan educational system.

Educational Background:
The educational background required includes a university degree in relevant fields such as Education, Pedagogy, Psychology, Social Sciences, Educational Technology, Special Education, Child Development, Sociology, Environmental Studies, or Risk Management. Candidates with postgraduate qualifications in these areas will be preferred, as they demonstrate a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in educational consultancy.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least five years of relevant experience in educational consultancy or related fields. This experience should encompass work in educational programs, teacher training, curriculum design, and research, particularly within the context of the Nicaraguan educational system. Previous experience with UNICEF or similar organizations is considered an advantage.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, with strong skills in expression, writing, and technical report drafting. Proficiency in English or any local languages is considered a valuable asset, enhancing communication and collaboration within diverse educational contexts.
