Job Overview:

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a secondary school education, with a post-secondary certificate in a related functional area such as Transport Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or Business Management. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of post-secondary experience in humanitarian operations within logistics or supply chain fields. Experience with supply chain information systems, contract execution, and retailer management is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills, initiative, and the ability to negotiate with local authorities are essential for this role.
Educational Background:
The educational requirements for this position include completion of secondary school education, along with a post-secondary certificate in a relevant field such as Transport Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or Business Management. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of logistics operations and supply chain management in humanitarian contexts.
Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of post-secondary experience in humanitarian operations, specifically in logistics or supply chain management. Candidates should have hands-on experience working with supply chain information systems, maintaining data systems, and managing logistics operations in challenging environments. Experience in contract execution and retailer management is also beneficial, as it contributes to the effective coordination of logistics activities.
Languages:
Fluency in both oral and written English is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within WFP. - Providing support to Field Office logistics operations and activities, ensuring effective delivery of food and cash assistance to beneficiaries.
- Coordinating deliveries from ports and warehouses to Final Distribution Points (FDPs), ensuring timely and accurate documentation of food movements.
- Assisting with warehouse stock reconciliation and ensuring real-time transaction capturing for receipts and dispatches.
- Verifying and reconciling Food Release Notes (FRNs) with existing stock data and updating the FRN tracker.
- Supporting Retailer Relationship Management, including onboarding and performance evaluations.
- Monitoring last-mile deliveries and ensuring accurate tracking of dispatched commodities.
- Training cooperating partners on last-mile operations and ensuring compliance with WFP standards.
- Performing any other related tasks as required to support logistics operations.
