Job Overview:
The position of National Evaluation Team Member is part of the BERANI II Joint Programme, which is a collaborative initiative aimed at improving sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights for women and girls in Indonesia. This role is critical as the programme approaches its conclusion, necessitating a final evaluation to assess its performance and identify factors that influenced its delivery. The evaluation will provide actionable recommendations for future programme implementation. The National Evaluation Team Member will work closely with the Evaluation Manager and Team Leader, contributing expertise in sexual and reproductive health services, maternal health, and youth-friendly services. The role involves methodological design, data collection, analysis, and the development of evaluation deliverables, ensuring that the evaluation process is comprehensive and effective.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The National Evaluation Team Member will be responsible for several key tasks, including:

• Providing expertise on integrated sexual and reproductive health services, maternal health, family planning, and youth-friendly SRHR services.
• Contributing to the methodological design of the evaluation and participating in data collection and analysis.
• Developing the evaluation methodology, work plan, and agenda for the field phase.
• Conducting document reviews and interviews with stakeholders as part of the evaluation process.
• Collaborating with the Evaluation Manager, PUNOS staff, and the Evaluation Reference Group (ERG) throughout the evaluation.
• Submitting the design report (inception report) and PowerPoint presentations for debriefing meetings.
• Drafting and finalizing the evaluation report and presenting the evaluation results.
• Ensuring that all contributions adhere to ethical standards and principles, including confidentiality and the principle of 'do no harm.'

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in public health, medicine, health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, social sciences, or a related field. Additionally, a minimum of 5 years of experience in conducting evaluations, assessments, or research studies in international development is required. Candidates should have substantive knowledge of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), including maternal health and family planning, as well as experience in integrating human rights and gender perspectives into evaluation processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, are essential for this role.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master’s degree in relevant fields such as public health, medicine, health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, or social sciences. This advanced education is crucial for understanding the complexities of sexual and reproductive health and rights, as well as for effectively contributing to the evaluation process.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in conducting evaluations, reviews, assessments, or research studies within the context of international development. This experience should include a strong understanding of sexual and reproductive health issues, particularly those affecting adolescents and youth, as well as familiarity with evaluation methodologies and data collection techniques.

Languages:
Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if they are relevant to the local context or the populations being evaluated.

• The Evaluation Team Members will primarily work from Indonesia, with regular attendance at the UNFPA Indonesia office as agreed upon with the Evaluation Manager. Travel requirements will be determined based on the needs identified during the data collection phase.
