Job Overview:
The Programme Assistant position at UNICEF in Manaus involves supporting the field office's work by performing a variety of procedural, administrative, and operational tasks. Required Qualifications:
To qualify for the Programme Assistant position, candidates must have a minimum of secondary education, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses relevant to the organization's work. A completed First Level University degree in fields such as Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources Management, International Business Logistics, Management, or Administration may substitute for three years of professional experience. An Advanced University Degree can replace an additional two years of experience. Candidates must also possess strong organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), effective communication abilities, and a high level of confidentiality and judgment.
Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes completion of secondary education, with a preference for additional technical or university-level courses related to the work of UNICEF. A First Level University degree in relevant fields can significantly enhance a candidate's profile, while an Advanced University Degree is highly advantageous and can replace years of required work experience.
Experience:
Candidates must have a minimum of five years of progressively responsible administrative or clerical work experience. This experience should ideally include exposure to administrative or logistical support roles, particularly in contexts related to office management, facilities coordination, or support for international organizations such as the United Nations.
Languages:
Fluency in both Portuguese and English is mandatory for this position. Additionally, a basic level of Spanish is considered a strong asset, and knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, or Russian) is advantageous.

This position is a temporary appointment for a duration of six months.
