Job Overview:
The position of National Evaluation Team Member is part of the BERANI II Joint Programme, which is a collaborative initiative aimed at improving sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights for women and girls in Indonesia. This role is crucial as the programme approaches its conclusion, requiring a final evaluation to assess its performance and identify factors influencing its success. The evaluation will provide actionable recommendations for future programme implementation. The National Evaluation Team Member will focus on gender equality and women's empowerment, contributing to the evaluation's methodological design and participating in data collection and analysis. This role involves working closely with the Evaluation Manager and Team Leader, ensuring that the evaluation process is thorough and reflective of the needs and rights of women and girls in Indonesia.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The National Evaluation Team Member will be responsible for several key tasks, including:

• Contributing to the development of the evaluation methodology and work plan.
• Participating in meetings with the Evaluation Manager, PUNOS staff, and the Evaluation Reference Group (ERG).
• Conducting document reviews and interviews with stakeholders to gather qualitative data.
• Analyzing data collected during the evaluation process.
• Drafting and submitting the design report (inception report) and PowerPoint presentations for debriefing meetings.
• Preparing and submitting the draft and final evaluation reports, including a PowerPoint presentation of the evaluation results.
• Ensuring that all contributions align with the thematic area of gender equality and women's empowerment, and adhere to ethical standards throughout the evaluation process.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in women/gender studies, human rights law, social sciences, development studies, or a related field. Additionally, a minimum of 5 years of experience in conducting evaluations, assessments, or research studies in international development is required. Candidates should have substantive knowledge of gender equality, women's empowerment, and issues related to gender-based violence and harmful practices. They must demonstrate the ability to integrate human rights and gender perspectives into the evaluation process and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken, are essential for this role.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master's degree in relevant fields such as women/gender studies, human rights law, social sciences, or development studies. This educational foundation is critical for understanding the complexities of gender issues and reproductive rights, which are central to the evaluation process.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in conducting evaluations, reviews, assessments, or research studies within the context of international development. Candidates should have a proven track record of working on gender equality and women's empowerment issues, as well as experience in applying both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods. Familiarity with the national development context of Indonesia is also important.

Languages:
Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if they are relevant to the local context or the stakeholders involved in the evaluation process.

• The Evaluation Team Members will primarily work from Indonesia, with regular presence at the UNFPA Indonesia office as agreed with the Evaluation Manager. Travel requirements will be determined based on the needs identified during the fieldwork phase of data collection.
