Job Overview: The Physician Pediatrician position is crucial for providing medical care to children in various settings, particularly in humanitarian contexts. The role involves diagnosing and treating a wide range of pediatric conditions, conducting health assessments, and developing treatment plans tailored to the needs of children. The Pediatrician will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and may also be involved in health education initiatives aimed at parents and communities. The position requires a strong commitment to child health and well-being, as well as the ability to work in challenging environments. The Pediatrician will also be expected to participate in training and capacity-building activities for local healthcare staff, ensuring sustainable healthcare practices are established.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough medical examinations and assessments of pediatric patients.
Diagnose and treat common childhood illnesses and injuries.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
Provide health education to parents and caregivers regarding child health and nutrition.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for children.
Participate in community outreach programs to promote child health awareness.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients.
Stay updated on the latest pediatric healthcare practices and guidelines.

Required Qualifications:
Medical degree with specialization in Pediatrics.
Valid medical license to practice in Venezuela.
Strong clinical skills and experience in pediatric care.
Ability to work in a multicultural environment and with diverse populations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Capacity to work under pressure and in challenging conditions.
Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a medical degree from an accredited institution, with a specialization in Pediatrics. Additional certifications in child health or related fields are advantageous. Continuous education and training in pediatric care practices are also preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in pediatric medicine is required. Experience working in humanitarian settings or with vulnerable populations is highly desirable. Familiarity with public health initiatives and community health programs will be considered an asset.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication in Venezuela. Proficiency in English is considered a plus, as it may facilitate communication with international staff and stakeholders.
Additional Notes: This position is full-time and may require flexibility in working hours. The contract duration is initially for one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability.
