Job Overview:
The position of Magasinier adjoint (Assistant Storekeeper) is crucial within the Supply Chain unit of WFP, specifically in Gonaïves, Haiti. The incumbent will report to the Fleet Manager and the direct supervisor of the Gonaïves sub-office. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain adequate stock levels of spare parts, lubricants, and other supplies necessary for the maintenance of light and armored vehicles, as well as fixed and mobile motorized equipment. The assistant storekeeper will be tasked with the procurement, receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory management of these essential items. This role is vital for ensuring that all vehicles are operational and that maintenance is conducted efficiently, thereby supporting WFP's broader mission of delivering humanitarian aid effectively. The position requires a proactive approach to inventory management and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in the storage and handling of supplies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the Magasinier adjoint include, but are not limited to: ensuring that all spare parts, lubricants, and consumables received are accurately counted and recorded; noting any discrepancies in quantities on the Goods Receipt Note (GRN) or Proof of Delivery (POD) and reporting them to the sender; overseeing the quality control of all received goods and reporting any damaged or incorrect items to the direct supervisor; ensuring that all requested spare parts and materials are duly authorized and meet the required specifications; managing the return of parts and materials to stock and ensuring they are correctly recorded in the fleet system; preparing requests for parts and materials destined for other depots, ensuring proper packaging and sealing; supervising the physical loading of parts and materials for transport to other sites; maintaining up-to-date catalogs of parts, price lists, and cross-references for all operational assets; implementing effective stock management practices to maintain minimum and maximum levels; organizing regular inventories and ensuring the accuracy of records; ensuring that all materials are stored in a safe, clean, and organized environment; preparing local and international orders and tracking the complete process; submitting daily consumption and receipt reports, weekly stock reports, and ad hoc reports to the Fleet section; maintaining an organized and labeled store according to stock barcode policies; communicating expectations and objectives, providing continuous feedback, and addressing gaps in performance; monitoring the appropriate use of available resources; ensuring strict adherence to established guidelines and procedures for stock management; updating all data accurately in the Fleet Management System (FMS); sharing acquired experiences and fostering cohesion within the team; ensuring compliance with WFP procedures regarding spare parts; and performing any other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Magasinier adjoint position should possess a secondary school diploma in automotive mechanics, with a specialization in spare parts management for vehicles.
