Job Overview: The E T Consultant position at the World Bank is integral to the Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit, which is dedicated to enhancing the organization's mission of eradicating extreme poverty and fostering shared prosperity. The consultant will be part of the Digital Solutions team, which is responsible for delivering modern productivity and collaboration solutions to over 30,000 users. This role involves designing, engineering, and optimizing collaboration solutions on SharePoint Online and the Microsoft 365 suite. The consultant will engage closely with developers, system owners, and IT stakeholders to ensure secure and innovative outcomes, thereby playing a pivotal role in the organization's technological advancements.
Duties and Responsibilities: The E T Consultant will manage and optimize SharePoint Online as a modern application platform, ensuring its reliability and scalability while adhering to governance frameworks. Key responsibilities include engineering and supporting SPFx solutions, React-based custom components, and integrations. The consultant will leverage Microsoft Graph API and SharePoint REST API to enhance automation and reporting capabilities. Additionally, the role involves designing and implementing solutions using Azure Functions and other cloud-native services, modernizing legacy SharePoint applications, and supporting integration with internal and external systems. The consultant will also assist developers with best practices in development patterns, solution deployment, and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A strong background in administering and building solutions on Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online is essential, along with proven experience in delivering SPFx, React JS, and automation solutions. Candidates should have expertise in security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, compliance, and governance across Microsoft 365 platforms, as well as programming and scripting skills in PowerShell, JavaScript/TypeScript, and optionally Python. Experience: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in administering and building solutions on Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online.
