The officer will report to the Supply and Logistics Specialist and is responsible for various supply chain operations, including planning, procurement, customs clearance, warehousing, transportation, and distribution. The role requires collaboration with program sections to define supply interventions that meet programmatic needs and contribute to achieving results for children. The officer will also provide technical support and advisory services to governments and partners on supply chain management, ensuring a child-centered response to humanitarian needs, especially in emergency contexts like the recent earthquakes in Venezuela.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Supply and Logistics Officer will have several key responsibilities, including:

• Supervising the supply team to ensure effective service delivery and emergency response.
• Collaborating with program and implementing partners to align supply chain operations with programmatic goals.
• Providing technical and advisory support to government and national systems on supply chain management.
• Innovating and exploring new products and markets to enhance supply chain efficiency.
• Monitoring and evaluating supply chain processes to ensure compliance with UNICEF standards and best practices.
• Managing procurement processes, including vendor selection and contract management.
• Overseeing customs clearance and logistics operations to facilitate timely delivery of supplies.
• Ensuring proper warehousing and inventory management practices are in place.
• Coordinating in-country transportation and distribution of supplies to various locations. 1

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a completed first-level university degree in fields such as Business Administration, Management, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or related social sciences. Candidates should have a minimum of one year of relevant experience in supply management, logistics, procurement, or related technical fields at both national and international levels. Skills required include a solid understanding of development and humanitarian work, basic knowledge of supply chain processes, and demonstrated experience in supervising teams. Strong analytical and negotiation skills are also essential for this role.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have a completed first-level university degree in relevant fields such as Business Administration, Management, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or related social sciences. Experience:
The position requires a minimum of one year of relevant experience in supply management, logistics, procurement, contracting, or related technical fields.
