Job Overview:
The Driver position at FHI 360 is a critical role that involves the safe transportation of clients, staff, and visitors to various destinations within the country office. The driver is expected to assist clients during their entry and exit from vehicles, ensuring a courteous and professional experience. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility for the care and maintenance of the vehicle, including regular cleaning and ensuring that all maintenance and repair needs are addressed promptly. The driver will also be responsible for planning routes based on scheduled appointments or ad-hoc requests, ensuring that all safety regulations are adhered to during transportation. This role is essential for maintaining the operational efficiency of the country office and ensuring that all personnel can travel safely and effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Driver will be responsible for transporting Country Office staff, consultants, and visitors to designated locations. Key duties include ensuring the safety, cleanliness, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, and maintenance of the vehicle. The driver must perform day-to-day maintenance tasks such as timely oil changes, inspections, and checking brakes and tire pressure. In addition, the driver will make arrangements for major repairs when necessary and ensure that all vehicle documentation, including insurance and logs, is current and in order. The driver will also plan routes based on the office schedule and fulfill special requests such as picking up and delivering items. Furthermore, the driver may be required to provide protection for clients in high-risk locations and perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Class B Driver's license and have completed the Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) or its equivalent. A clean driving record is mandatory, and candidates should have at least two years of related driving experience. Experience in operating large vehicles is preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and professionalism in all driving activities.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position includes a Class B Driver's license and completion of the BGCSE or an equivalent qualification. This ensures that the candidate has the necessary foundational education and driving credentials to perform the job effectively.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years of related driving experience. Candidates must have a clean driving record, demonstrating their ability to operate vehicles safely and responsibly.
