Job Overview:
The Nuclear Programme Developer position is a critical role within the Nuclear Infrastructure Development Section of the IAEA. The primary function of this position is to develop and maintain comprehensive databases that track countries embarking on nuclear power programs. This involves managing, collecting, and disseminating vital information regarding new nuclear projects. The Nuclear Programme Developer will assist member states in building their national nuclear infrastructure and provide technical assistance, particularly in infrastructure development. The role encompasses various responsibilities, including acting as an information officer, scientific secretary, analyst, and technical project officer. The successful candidate will be expected to plan and implement an information management system that supports the IAEA's activities with countries introducing nuclear power, as well as support complex technical cooperation projects and develop action plans for seminars, workshops, and training courses.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Nuclear Programme Developer will be responsible for several key functions:

• Planning, developing, and implementing an information management system to support IAEA activities with countries introducing nuclear power.
• Planning and supporting complex technical and review missions to member states, including preparatory and follow-up visits, and assessing member states' needs.
• Supporting complex technical cooperation projects, developing action plans, and organizing seminars, workshops, expert missions, and training courses.
• Building and maintaining strategic partnerships and alliances with a wide range of stakeholders in member states related to infrastructure for new nuclear power programs.
• Communicating with internal and external stakeholders through the maintenance of the website, fact sheets, and informational materials, and supporting the use of information technologies to facilitate networking.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in management, public policy, international relations (with a nuclear specialization being desirable), or a related field. A minimum of five years of experience in nuclear engineering is required, along with experience working in a national or international nuclear organization or institute. Proven experience in managing or coordinating international activities or projects is essential. Excellent oral and written command of English is mandatory, and knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is considered an asset.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as management, public policy, or international relations, with a specialization in nuclear studies being highly desirable. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of nuclear energy and its applications in various contexts.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience in nuclear engineering. Candidates should have a strong background in working within national or international nuclear organizations or institutes. Additional Notes:
The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package, including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at approximately US $71,335, subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance.
