Job Overview:
The Technical Lead (Stakeholder Engagement) will report directly to the Programme Coordinator (NE) and is responsible for ensuring a results-oriented programmatic response to the priorities of Member States in the area of stakeholder engagement for nuclear power programs. This role involves designing and implementing communication strategies and action plans that align with the IAEA's objectives. The Technical Lead will act as a specialist in stakeholder engagement, nuclear communication, and outreach activities, ensuring that the IAEA effectively communicates with various stakeholders, including governmental authorities, the nuclear industry, and research organizations. The position also entails planning and leading capacity-building events, such as workshops and technical meetings, to enhance stakeholder engagement in nuclear power programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Technical Lead will serve as a Scientific Secretary responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating workshops, training courses, and other capacity-building events tailored to the needs of IAEA Member States in stakeholder engagement for nuclear power programs. Additionally, the Technical Lead will act as a Technical Officer for Technical Cooperation Projects, preparing state-of-the-art reports on stakeholder engagement across the nuclear sector. The role requires identifying emerging needs and priorities, monitoring the implementation of stakeholder engagement practices, and liaising with international experts to maintain a network focused on stakeholder engagement. The Technical Lead will also coordinate efforts within the NE Department and across the Agency to enhance stakeholder engagement strategies.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in communications, science, or social science. Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree in these fields with two additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree. A minimum of seven years of experience in stakeholder engagement or nuclear communication is required, with at least five years at the international level. Candidates should have experience in developing communication plans, organizing training courses, and technical writing in English, along with producing reports and official documents.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master's Degree in communications, science, or social science. A Bachelor's Degree in the same fields may be acceptable if accompanied by relevant experience. The emphasis is on advanced knowledge and skills in communication and stakeholder engagement within the nuclear sector.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of seven years of professional experience in stakeholder engagement or nuclear communication, with a significant portion of that experience (at least five years) gained at the international level. Candidates should have a proven track record in developing communication strategies and leading capacity-building initiatives.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages, such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish, is considered an asset and may enhance a candidate's profile.

The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package, including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $86,027, along with a variable post adjustment, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, and relocation expenses.
